Insurance Savings By the Buckton team

Cutting cover is not the only way to save. A careful review often finds money without adding risk.

Remove what you do not need

Old items still listed, a second car that was sold, duplicate cover through a bank product. A review often finds things you are paying for twice.

Choose your excess deliberately

A higher voluntary excess lowers the premium. Only do this if you can comfortably pay that amount when you claim.

Improve the risk

Tracking devices, better security and safe parking can reduce premiums. Ask what your insurer recognises.

Do not underinsure to save

Lowering sums insured below real values can trigger average and cost far more at claim stage than you saved.
